These positions are for the Rockwood and Parkway School Districts. Ability to plan/implement developmentally appropriate activities; ability to supervise staff; ability to assume responsibility and respect confidentiality. Two years of experience working in a similar setting with children.

 

$17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Various locations throughtout the Parkway and Rockwood School Districts 

 

POSITION SUMMARY:  Assist Site Facilitator with developing a safe and caring environment for out of school time program along with coordinating and supervising the activities of children.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  1. Manage site operations as needed, including attendance of all children.
  2. Creates an encouraging and safe environment for children.
  3. Models for staff and/or communicates with staff in order to train in appropriate safety measures and interactions with children.
  4. Assists Facilitators to maintain and submit KRONOS as required.
  5. Directs staff to carry out all essential drills as required.
  6. Assists in implementation of accreditation standards.
  7. Assures that parents and families are greeted daily and appropriate information is communicated.
  8. Directs staff in maintenance of Adventure Club areas and supplies.
  9. Obtains 12 hours of annual training.
  10. Participate in professional growth by attending appropriate workshops and conferences.
  11. Implements activity plans developed by the Facilitator.
  12. Attends staff meetings
  13. Performs other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: 

  1. High School Diploma or GED required
  2. College credit preferred
  3. 2 years’ experience working with children in a similar setting required.
  4. Demonstrate ability to supervisor staff and implement plocies and procedures at the site.
  5. Demonstrate ability to assume responsibility, respect confidentiality and demonstrate patience and compassion with school-age children.
