POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for set-up and operation of technical theater equipment for various events throughout the district and external locations put on by various schools, departments, and Rockwood community organizations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Set up and operate theatrical lighting, sound, and rigging equipment.
- Clean and return Rockwood spaces to original condition when event is finished.
- Work with custodial department at designated location to ensure space is locked up and secure.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attend and represent the District at all events as scheduled.
- Ability to interact effectively with Rockwood staff members, community groups, and students of all ages.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Basic knowledge of use and operation of theatrical lighting, sound, and rigging systems.
- Ability to bend, twist, lift and manipulate equipment and supplies.
- Ability to lift 20 pounds.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Basic knowledge of use and operation of theatrical lighting, sound, and rigging systems.
- Reliable transportation to and from various events.
- Event management, operate theatrical sound and light consoles

- Theatrical light, sound and rigging equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear, walk, stand and reach.
