$12.00 per hour, hours and schedule listed below

Schedule:

POSITION SUMMARY:  Under general direction of the Adventure Club Assistant Facilitator and Facilitator, is responsible for the day-to-day activities the Adventure Club offers.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  1. Active supervision and interaction with students, provide safe environment for students, communicates with parents, staff and students.
  2. Assists in creating an encouraging and safe environment for children.
  3. Participates in professional growth by completing 12 hours of annual inservice.
  4. Attends staff meetings as required.
  5. Maintains, a clean and safe Adventure Club areas and supplies as directed.
  6. Assists in implementation of activity plans.
  7. Respects and maintains confidentiality.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

  • Ability to assist in providing an encouraging, caring, and safe environment for children.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to judge when situations and/or information should be called to the attention of the supervisor.
  • Ability to set up an appropriate environment which may include moving furniture, carrying supplies and lifting equipment.
  • Ability to interact with children appropriately. This may include stooping, lifting, and sitting on the floor.
  • Ability to demonstrate patience and compassion with young children.
  • Ability to work cooperatively as a team member.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: 

  1. High School Diploma or GED required. College credit hours preferred.
  2. Experience working with children in a similar setting preferred.

EQUIPMENT USED: 

  • Standard office equipment including MS Office experience.
  • Age appropriate toys and games.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

  • Within school building.
  • Active position that requires squatting, sitting, bending, twisting, lifting, talking, hearing, seeing, walking.
  • Outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather, and sometimes in extreme temperatures.
